‘Vikings’ season 4, episode 11 preview: Return date speculation for Travis Fimmel drama
Tonight, “Vikings” is coming to a close for the time being … but the good news that we still have to report that this is far from the end of the show’s run for season 4, in 2016.
While we’re not entirely sure just how the entire cast is doing this without being exhausted to death, there are 20 episodes this year as opposed to the typical 10, and they are being split up into two halves. The first portion of the story is what you watched up until tonight, and then the second half is something that you’re going to have to wait on for a little while.
At the moment, History has not specified much in terms of a return date, but they have said in the past that the second batch of episodes will air this fall. Specifically what we know is that there is a major time jump, and as a result of that we will see many characters in different places than they were through the first half of this season or really the entire series. We will see more of Rollo, Ragnar challenging anyone who wants to take his kingdom from him, Lagertha and Aslaug will battle it out for the title of Queen and now that his sons are all grown up they will have a much larger role.
In the end, it may be easy to call this necessary when you think for a minute or two about the entire history of Ragnar, or at least what we know about it. There is so much more than happened beyond just a short period of time, and if we were moving at the pace we are now “Vikings” would have to be the longest-running series in history to cover all of it. Moving time forward allows the show to skip more to some of the most important stuff down the line.

I kept checking how many minutes left. I didn’t want it to end. I think Ragnar is going to die for real this time. Don’t want him to. He is my favorite character. Zero nudity but an amazing story and execution. More viewers because of less restrictions. Right now my favorite son is Iva (he seems smart and cunning. Even slightly evil). I like that. I hope Bian
