‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 24 (finale) spoilers): Toby’s in grave danger…

Next week’s season 2 finale of “Scorpion” is entitled “Toby or Not Toby,” which is a really funny name for what is ultimately a pretty serious episode of the show. After everything that we saw during tonight’s exciting / intense episode set around Chernobyl, there was yet another life-or-death scenario that we saw play out here. This time around, it’s one that puts the aforementioned character in grave danger thanks to a former team member with an agenda.

“Team Scorpion must outthink their unstable ex-Scorpion member, Mark Collins (guest star Joshua Leonard), after he kidnaps Toby and threatens to kill him unless his cunning demands are met, on the second season finale.”

While we hope that we find out over the course of this episode whether or not Toby makes it out alive, we do want there to be at least a small cliffhanger going into season 3. So long as they’re not the ridiculous type where nothing is resolved and they serve no purpose other than making everyone really angry (we’re now looking at a really specific zombie drama!), they can be effective and fun ways to keep people guessing. That’s how we think of a show like “Scorpion” overall; it’s fun, and meant to have its fans chatting with one another about the characters and episodes they specifically enjoy.
