‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 22 video: Deeks, Kensi take on Sam, Callen in basketball

Do you ever wonder how agents or police officers spend their downtime? It’s something that we often do like to see explored with “NCIS: Los Angeles” and some other shows, and it’s also something that the sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode hints at a little bit further. They’ve been good at giving us some of this for the most part, at least compared to some other crime shows that make us think that the main characters are secretly androids of some variety.

In this particular preview, we get a chance to see Deeks and Kensi square off against Callen and Sam in a basketball game, one that shows that every person there has a certain degree of skill. The result is something that we’ll leave a secret for now, but you see the end of the game before the team is eventually called up to work on the latest case.

Probably the best part of the sneak peek is at the very end, where it becomes really clear that maybe the team should be a little bit smarter when it comes to getting their team members. It’s somewhat reminiscent of an episode of “The Office” where Michael Scott makes terrible judgments on who to put on his basketball team.

While we realize that there’s not much of long-term substance here, we do think that the preview is still fun, and that has to count for something while we wait for the next new episode to air.
