‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Will we learn more about Hugo Strange?

For those of you out there who like a little bit of mystery and science fiction mixed on “Gotham,” let us say that there is quite a bit to like about the upcoming May 2 episode entitled “Azrael.” This is a story that is going to feature a major surprise, and cause Jim Gordon some problems that he never imagined he would have to deal with.

We’ve enclosed a part of the synopsis below right now to give you a small sense of what is coming up, though at the same time we’ve also redacted a tiny detail that may be a little too spoilers (after all, we don’t really like to ever given the entire story away here):

“Gordon and Bruce question Professor Strange about Project Chimera, which leads Strange to send [spoiler] to confront Gordon. Meanwhile, Nygma investigates who Professor Strange is.”

At this point in the season, it appears as though everyone is a little bit curious about Hugo Strange, and that’s understandable given his body of work. This is someone who is not only forcing people through experiments, but he’s releasing people that he knows to be insane back into the wild just for the sake of seeing precisely what happens. He’s the sort of character who cares about his own self-interest first; he’s not necessarily out to cause anyone to lose their lives, but is not altogether devastated if something happens to people who are harmed in some way for the purposes of science.
