‘Home Fires’ season 2, episode 3 preview: A bomb scare
Typically with shows like “Home Fires,” ITV is kind enough to release some details in advance regarding what is coming up on the next new episode. However, on this particular occasion we cannot say that we are anywhere near as lucky. For one reason or another the network opted not to give us much information, and all we have to go on for what lies ahead next week is the brief preview that aired following tonight’s episode … provided of course you were able to pay much attention in the midst of Peter’s note and the ensuing scandal.
For the first time this season, the effects of it being 1940 are going to hit home in this small Cheshire village, as a bomb scare could rock the entire community. All of a sudden, smaller problems may start to fall by the wayside, and the ultimate priority may be doing what is necessary in order to care for one another.
Also, a homecoming could spell some further problems in this episode, and we are very much invested in seeing if there is some sort of escape out there for Pat, who needs a break quite possibly more than any TV character we have seen in quite some time. Think about what Bob has done to torment her, coupled with the news that he is now back, albeit injured. If only she was around at a time when such things as divorce were a little more prevalent, and she had some sort of proper escape route.
Hopefully, we will have more info on this particular episode coming up, and ITV will get that synopsis out there. Stay tuned.
