‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: First look at ‘Leviathan’

Cast -There are several different criticisms that we have had at times regarding “Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW, but by and large the most overarching one is that we’ve jumped around so much that there is very little in the way of cohesive momentum. All we know is that Vandal Savage is out there, and almost every week features the team traveling to a different era of time to try to figure out how to stop them. Given that he is only occasionally able to remember who they are because of his own limitations (he’s not a time-traveler, after all), it’s hard to establish much of a consistent narrative when he doesn’t even know who is fighting him sometimes.

Hopefully, the upcoming 13th episode of the season entitled “Leviathan” (airing on Thursday, April 28) is going to be a big one for trying to sift through some of these issues, given that we’re finally going to see more of the pivotal point where Vandal actually was ruling the world as opposed to when he was running around in it. It is here, per the attached synopsis, that we learn a thing or two more about him … including that he actually has a daughter:

“Rip (Arthur Darvill) takes the team to London in the year 2166, three months before his family is killed. He believes this to be their final opportunity to take out Savage (Casper Crump) who is, unfortunately, at the height of his power. However, the team discovers two key elements to defeating him – Savage’s daughter (guest star Jessica Sipos) and the means to kill Savage once and for all.”

There are only a handful of episodes on after this one, and at this point, our hope is just that either we stay in the same time period continuously, or Savage finds a way to travel along with the team. One way or another, things have to start getting a little more consistent.
