‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: How Malick’s secrets could change the game

So far on “Agents of SHIELD” season 3, we have definitely seen the character of Gideon Malick be set up as a serious force to be reckoned with. While he has not always been at the center of attention, or a physical threat, he is such a puppetmaster that he has a real knack of staying out in front of problems at Hydra. So far, he has even managed the arrival of Hive into the fold.

So could there finally be a way to topple him coming up over the course of the rest of season 3? This is something that the synopsis below for “Paradise Lost,” the upcoming episode of the show slated to air on April 12, seems to indicate:

“S.H.I.E.L.D. hunts for information on their dangerous new enemy, and a shameful secret from Malick’s past is exposed, threatening to destroy his Hydra legacy.”

Is this “dangerous new enemy” Hive? It is certainly easier to suggest that now that it is fairly clear that all of the roads are starting to close in on each other, and that certainly means one thing more than anything else: Danger is coming, and it is probably going to arrive to the series in a fairly major way. We are going to have some further news soon in terms of what to expect, but for the time being it appears that drama, drama, and more drama is what you have to watch out for … with also an element of danger and/or death, even if we’re fairly confident nobody is getting killed off at this point in the season.
