NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 5, episode 16 preview: The whole preacher / demon dilemma

Just in case you were more than a little bit curious regarding what is coming up next on “Grimm,” we’ve got some good news for you: There’s another new episode coming up on Friday night! This one is specifically entitled “The Believer,” and there could be some really creepy stuff that you see from start to finish here.

As per usual, let’s start off this episode by sharing some official details courtesy of the NBC synopsis, which make it more than a little bit clear that there is some seriously-creepy stuff coming:

“An evangelical preacher (guest star William Mapother) has a tent revival unlike any other when he uses his Wesen identity to gain more believers. Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to the scene as things escalate when a group of ‘true believers’ are hell bent on saving the preacher and his flock by any means necessary. Meanwhile, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) takes further steps to gain power in local government. Elsewhere, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) uses Adalind’s (Claire Coffee) ol’ hat trick to gain more access to Black Claw.”

The promo below offers up another angle as to what is coming up next, and this episode looks to be everything that you would want to see from an hour of this show and then some — violence, drama, excitement, and a preacher who apparently transforms into the devil. It’s so crazy … it’s “Grimm.” Yet, this sounds hokey and almost like a commercial itself, but how else would you describe it?
