‘Supergirl’ finale spoilers: First look at finale ‘Better Angels’

For those of you who were wondering whether or not Non and Indigo were going to make it to the end of “Supergirl” season 1, we’ve now got something resembling a firm answer to the subject: You’re going to see them there.

Today, CBS has released some of the first details regarding the big finale (airing on April 18) entitled “Better Angels,” which looks as though the battle of the ages is going to take place between Kara and these two as she has to try to save more than just National City. At this point, the fate of the entire planet is at stake:

“Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected foe and must risk everything – including her life – to prevent Non and Indigo from destroying every person on the planet.”

Here is where we start to sense that the show could have a little bit of trouble justifying the lack of a Superman appearance on the show; given the fate of the entire planet is at stake, wouldn’t he want to be there in some capacity? It’s not about doubting Kara at that point as much as it is having all hands on deck and ensuring that ultimately nothing goes awry for anyone.

Anyway, consider that a minor quibble for now as this installment looks on paper to be a pretty crazy / thrilling conclusion to the season … and hopefully we’re going to have a rather brilliant setup for what the second season could be somewhere along the way.
