Is ‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 18 new tonight? ‘Blast from the Past’ scoop

We should start this particular “Blue Bloods” update by, once again, going ahead and bringing you some bad news: There is no new episode, regrettably, airing on CBS tonight.

However, we do think that there is more than a few things out there to help make up for that, starting of course with this news (if you have not heard it already): The show is officially coming back for another season! This glorious news was confirmed today by CBS, and you can see the full list of other shows here.

Now, let’s get back into talking specific episodes. Next week “Blue Bloods” will return with a story entitled “Friends in Need,” and here we are bringing you the first scoop on “Blast from the Past,” the upcoming April 8 installment that is going to give you some Baez backstory, which we personally consider to be rather nice since that’s not something we have gotten a lot of as of late other than an episode or two:

“While hunting for a robbery crew on a wild crime spree, Danny and Baez partner with Detective Jimmy Mosley (Johnathon Schaech), a detective from another precinct who broke Baez’s heart years ago. Also, when an officer who was acquitted on charges of killing a young boy is up for a promotion, Frank grapples with the decision of moving him up the ladder and risking public outrage.”

April is turning out to be a huge month for Schaech in particular; the actor is also appearing soon on “Legends of Tomorrow” as iconic comic character Jonah Hex.
