‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 19 preview: What’s next for Mariska Hargitay, cast?
Tonight, “Law & Order: SVU” brought us the conclusion of the Benson-is-transferred sage, and we gotta say that we’re rather surprised that vindication came so quickly! With the way that some out there were talking, we almost expected the whole story for Mariska Hargitay’s character to last longer than it did.
While Benson may be back in a more familiar position now leading into the next episode, that also does not mean that there are blue skies ahead and no problems on the horizon. The promo below teases that we could be on the cusp of seeing the biggest shocker of the season, which is a pretty huge statement given what we just saw in “Manhattan Transfer.”
Meanwhile, the synopsis below gives us some more intel as to what to expect:
“Detective Carisi (Peter Scanavino) lives undercover at a homeless shelter to determine if one of its sex offender residents is the suspect in a string of neighborhood rapes.”
Ultimately, this sounds like it is going to be a big episode for Carisi, which we’re certainly ready to check out since we’ve spent so much time with other characters as of late. Also, this may very well be one of the most difficult challenges that he has taken on so far during his time with the unit, and it seems due for him to take something like this on. With this said, it will be very interesting to see precisely how he recovers from it.
