‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 18 preview: Anna Camp returns in ‘Unmanned’

Let us begin this particular article on “The Good Wife” with a sad reminder: We are really now getting into the home stretch of the series. There are five more installments to air, and these have the challenge to tie up the story for Alicia Florrick, some of the supporting characters, and of course leave a mark that will last for years to come. This has been a great series, and unfortunately with that comes heightened expectations for how you are supposed to go out. If something happens at the end, then you become somewhat akin to “How I Met Your Mother,” and almost everyone chooses to make fun of you despite everything good that you did.

“Unmanned” is the title for the next new episode, and based on the synopsis below, we do at least have a few more details regarding what to expect:

“Alicia and Diane defend the privacy rights of a therapist whose neighbor, represented by attorney Caitlyn D’Arcy (Anna Camp), flies a drone over his home office. Also, Assistant U.S. Attorney Connor Fox (Matthew Morrison) attempts to use Eli’s daughter, Marissa, as leverage in the case against Peter, and the power struggle at Lockhart, Agos & Lee reaches a boiling point.”

By the end of this episode, hopefully we’ll get a further understanding as to what the show’s ultimate endgame is, and if nothing else, we are going to see just how far Fox is willing to go to take down Peter. We certainly feel for Marissa at the moment, given that many U.S. Attorneys are going to do almost everything that they can to get what they want, even if the consequences are harsh.
