‘Black Sails’ season 3, episode 9 preview: Flint, Silver prepare for battle

To say that this weekend marks a huge episode of “Black Sails” would probably be making an understatement and then some when you consider what we are up against. There is a huge battle brewing around Nassau, and some of the alliances and bonds this season will be put to the test and then some. Also, we’re going to see Eleanor in a precarious position, likely see the aftermath of Jack’s big play, and hopefully set ourselves up for a conclusion like no other in just over one week’s time. We are almost at the end of season 3, and that has to be exciting for any fan at the moment.

Before we do anything else now, let’s go ahead and share the official synopsis for this installment courtesy of Starz:

“Eleanor puts everything on the line to save Rogers. Billy recruits allies. Flint and Silver prepare for war.”

The first clip that we’ve got for you below does a good job of establishing the sense of scale and violence that we are going to see on the series moving forward; meanwhile, the second preview is a little bit more intimate, as it features front and center the Mapleton character trying to warn Max about Eleanor and what she is truly like. It is impossible to say for certain that will happen, but there’s clearly a reason that this scene is here … and also that Starz chose to highlight it over anything else that is coming up in the episode.
