‘Empire’ season 2 finale: Will there be a cliffhanger?
The second season of “Empire” is going to be finally returning to TV on Wednesday, March 30, and with that we’re going to be tremendously excited to see what the writers choose to come up with from here.
While we cannot really tease many individual storylines along the way, the one thing that we can say with a little bit of confidence is that the ending for this season is going to be CRAZY. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Ilene Chaiken makes it clear that there is a “huge cliffhanger” that is going to be coming up by the end of the season. Not only that, but she also claimed that “someone might not be coming back.”
When it comes to the latter statement, we’ll ultimately believe it when we see it based more on the fact that there have been so many shows as of late that have faked us out with big character deaths, and any character you get rid of here is probably going to be met with at least some sort of backlash and you ultimately have to prepare yourself for that.
Ultimately, our advice to you is to just keep track of where some of the stories are going over the course of the rest of the season, and if they do opt to kill someone off eventually, odds are that it is probably not going to be coming out of nowhere. These do tend to be planned to some extent.
