‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Ian McShane continues to have no problem with mini-spoilers
Speaking in a new interview with the Telegraph, McShane responded to talk that he may have revealed too much in a previous interview talking about his character:
“You say the slightest thing and the internet goes ape… I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f—ing life. It’s only t–s and dragons.”
Just in case that was enough for you, he also dropped another line about how long he will appear on the show:
“They asked me if I wanted to do Game of Thrones and I said, ‘Sure, I’ll be able to see my old pals Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane’ and they said, ‘No, we’ve killed them off.’ I wasn’t sure whether I could commit, but then they said it would only be for one episode…”
Ultimately, we do think that there are some who are perhaps a little too protective about keeping even the most minute details on “Game of Thrones” secret. However, at the same exact time let’s be real here: This is not a show that needs to keep every single thing under wraps. So long as you’re not telling us the fate of many of the show’s major characters, we’re not going to be too upset.
The show returns to HBO with new episodes on Sunday, April 24; be sure to head over here to learn which cast member is hosting an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live,” and you can also sign up over at this link to get some other TV news on everything we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
