MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 13 video: Jenna Hamilton returns to Palos Hills

On Tuesday night “Awkward” is going to return to MTV with new episodes, but a word to the wise: This is not the same version of the show you remember. These characters are now a year removed from high school, and of course this is going to mean different things for different people.

For Jenna Hamilton, it means that her life is more together than it has been through any point in her life. As she says at the start of the sneak peek below, she’s really more aware of the sort of person she wants to be than she has ever been before.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone in Palos Hills is going to be ready to welcome them in with open arms. As a matter of fact, it seems in this preview that they simply forgot she was coming in. It makes some sense, given that it’s pretty clear that everyone has a heck of a lot going on. Jenna’s parents now have a new child to care for, and it also seems as though Lissa is working as their nanny.

Do we expect many more character updates over the course of the premiere? Definitely, though it could admittedly take some time before we get a chance to figure out what the story specifically is going to be. We imagine that the first episode is just going to be spending a lot of time in catch-up mode, letting us know precisely what it is we can expect to see.
