‘Better Call Saul’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Jimmy’s bribing ways

Better Call Saul season 2Monday night’s new episode of “Better Call Saul” is going to be really interesting for so many reasons, with the primary one being that this is now Jimmy McGill on an extremely short leash. If you recall, the aftermath of commercial-gate is still bubbling through Davis & Main, and his relationship with Kim Wexler is also very much on the rocks.

So what happens when Jimmy tries to show that he’s still not above underhanded tactics in order to get his way? Well, let’s just say that there are some consequences. In the sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode, we end up seeing Bob Odenkirk’s character get into it with an associate (a woman who reminds us very much of Lydia from “Breaking Bad”) over whether or not he should be bribing a clerk to get the dates that he wants. He does it so nonchalantly, almost as though it is something that he has done every day of his life.

Let’s just hope that this installment goes in some sort of interesting direction, since for now we feel almost like the Jimmy storyline is in a little bit of a holding pattern. We actually thought that in this past installment, the more interesting plot was the one that revolved for the most part around Mike and some of what he was willing to do in order to help Nacho.

After spending that much time with Mike, the easy prediction for now is that Monday will be more Jimmy-based. We’ll just have to wait and see if that prediction sticks.
