‘The Night Manager’ episode 5 preview: Tom Hiddleston’s Pine plays with fire

On tonight’s new episode of “The Night Manager,” there were fights, there were warnings, but somehow through it all, Pine has not been completely found out just yet. He is proving himself to be rather good at his mission, or at least good enough to keep himself clean … for now.

Can this last? This is one of the big story-notes worthy of watching as we start to push forward into what are the final episodes this season. The synopsis below offers up a few different pieces of information regarding what is going to be coming up next:

“A suspicious Roper gathers his entourage around him in an attempt to root out the traitor, forcing Pine to play a dangerous game. In London, Burr and Steadman face mounting opposition from Whitehall.”

What makes this next new episode interesting to us primarily here are the rumors that the next two episodes for the series may not be the last. Admittedly, we were beginning to operate from the assumption that this was an adaptation, and as a result of that there was only so much story that could be told. For those of us who don’t read the source material and like to remain unspoiled, this is at least a nice bit of reason to have hope that through all the chaos, maybe we’re going to see Pine find a way to get out of this at least reasonably unscathed by all that has transpired.
