2016 Kids Choice Awards: Jim Parsons, Fifth Harmony, Zendaya among winners

Kids Choice -

While this may not be the most active weekend in the world when it comes to major happenings in the world of television, there is one particular occasion out there that is likely capturing the attention of many: The 2016 Kids Choice Awards. Nickelodeon is putting on the show this year hosted by Blake Shelton, and just as you would expect, we’ve got a list of winners for you below!

With this said, let us caution / remind you that these are just the winners for the categories that are particularly relevant here at CarterMatt.

Favorite TV Show – The Thundermans. We have never even heard of this, which may just show how in touch (or lack thereof) we are with most kids out there.

Favorite Family TV Show – The Muppets. Could this help to actually save the show from certain cancellation? Unlikely, but we suppose we can at least dream, right?

Male TV Star, Family Show – Jim Parsons, “The Big Bang Theory.” He wins everything! Well, at least a lot of things.

Female TV Star, Family Show – Sofia Vergara, “Modern Family.” We could say the same thing here.

Female TV Star, Kids Show – Zendaya, “KC Undercover.” There’s really no surprise here.

Favorite Cartoon – “SpongeBob SquarePants.” Pretty much a Nickelodeon staple.

Female Singer – Ariana Grande, fittingly a former Nickelodeon star.

Music Group – Fifth Harmony, previously of “The X Factor.”

Favorite Talent Competition – The Voice. Given that Blake Shelton is hosting, it would’ve been hilarious had he lost.

Favorite Cooking Show – Cake Boss. We didn’t know it was still on the air.

We’ll have a little bit more in the way of news on the KCAs in the near future. For now, let us know what you think about some of the victors below, and head over here to get some other TV news on everything we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Nick.)
