‘The X Factor’ UK: Louis Walsh wants to come back for more ‘fun’

The latest news -Once again, we’re still several months away from “The X Factor” even starting to film, let alone when it is going to be premiering in the summer. That isn’t keeping the rumor mill from slowing down at all!

One of the names commonly rumored to return at the moment is none other than Louis Walsh. The former judge of the show has been the target of many returning rumors, and he is certainly not backing away from these at all. Speaking per Metro, Walsh had the following to say:

“It dipped a little bit last year. Simon Cowell needs to bring back the original format.  He needs to have a panel who are fun, to bring Nicole Scherzinger, me and Dermot O’Leary back. And Sharon Osbourne. She’s fun and Simon has no control over her.”

Do we think it is a great idea to get Louis back on the show? For the most part, we’d say that we’re game for it provided that he has some new material. One of the things that we were most annoyed about when it comes to his most-recent season is that he had a tendency to recycle some of the material time and time again, which is not remotely interesting to us in the slightest. He can be funny and interesting, but we need to see him being real, funny, and authentic.

As for who Walsh would be replacing, we know already that Nick Grimshaw is no longer a part of the show. We’ll have to see what happens next.
