‘NCIS’ season 14: What we’ve learned about new male character

NCIS -As of late, there has certainly been a wide degree of conversation regarding the female cast member set to joins “NCIS” later this season. We’ve heard late thirties / forties when it comes to her age, and that producers are looking for a name actress for the part. Clearly, it’s an effort to try and ensure that they find someone worthwhile to replace Michael Weatherly.

So what about the new male cast member? He’s been a little bit lost in the shuffle so far, and the indication that we’re getting is that producers may not be expecting as big of a name here. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Gary Glasberg confirmed that they are looking for someone potentially in their late twenties for the part. As for why the show has decided to add two actors to replace seemingly one person, your guess is as good as ours.

Glasberg did offer up the following on the present search for Tess, the aforementioned female character:

“We’re neck deep in [casting Tess] at the moment, and I’m thrilled by the number of actresses who have expressed interest … We’re just trying to find the right person, the right mix.”

Given where the show is in production right now, we imagine some sort of casting news over the next few weeks at most. There’s no real reason to keep this a secret, given the fact that any smart network would want to promote the show to the absolute best of their ability.

If you missed it yesterday, former series star Cote de Pablo is potentially going to be joining a new series over at Syfy.
