‘Shark Tank’ video: Are Beloved Shirts REALLY that beloved?

We are presenting right now our final video preview now for Friday night’s “Shark Tank” episode, and for this one, we’re talking about Beloved Shirts. Will they be as beloved in the Tank? as this brand hopes that they are? We’ll have to wait and see on that, but at the moment the sneak peek below shows off a little bit of their quirky charm.

When it comes to being innovative, it’s really hard to do anything proprietary as a fashion brand. Your main goal is in the designwork, which is what Beloved seems to be going for. They’ve got some wacky printed fabrics, and there’s one with pizza print that they seem to be especially fond of. These shirts, pants, and other products are meant to emphasize individuality and keep everyone from being so boring.

Here’s the issue: How big of a market is there for this sort of thing? We feel like only a very specific sort of person is going to be interested in fashion this bold, and for the company the primary challenge is going to be proving that this market is large enough to be worthy of an investment from the Sharks. We’re simply not sure, and it’s going to take someone who is a big believer in the brand. Having strong sales will help, but you need to show an ability to continually come up with new ideas given that the “Shark Tank” bump will eventually go away.
