‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 will have Justin Chambers on board

While “Grey’s Anatomy” has already been renewed for a thirteenth season at ABC, there are still some questions that remain in regards to some of the primary cast members.

Luckily, we are happy to at least provide an answer when it comes to one of them right now. In a post on Twitter (see below), Justin Chambers seems to have signed up to play Alex for a little while longer, which is nice given that this show is not exactly rich on original cast members at this point. Here’s your list: Ellen Pompeo (Meredith), Chambers (Alex), James Pickens Jr. (Webber), and Chandra Wilson (Bailey). They have been there through thick and thin, and we’d love it if they all managed to make it back for another season.

It’s sometimes difficult to tell where contract negotiations are with many people in the cast given that it is not the sort of thing that most in the TV industry want openly discussed, but at the same time, we have to think that at least Pompeo will return for sure given the title of the show.

Hopefully by the time the ABC upfronts are happening in May, we’ll at least get a good sense as to which major members of the cast will be returning, and who may think about doing something different now. We’re not going to hold it against anyone for wanting to leave given that this job is so exhausting, but of course a selfish part of us wants to see people stay.
