NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 5 spoilers: Don’t think of 100th episode as the end…

At the moment, the fate of “Grimm” beyond the current fifth season is unclear, but the NBC show is promising that they are going to lift the veil on many of their largest mysteries moving into the new episode on Friday night. This is not just any ordinary episode; after all, it is the 100th time in which the show has been on the air!

Of course, with some questions being answered means that there will be others that are raised. this is something that executive producer David Greenwalt teases further while speaking in a new interview right now with Yahoo! TV:

“The good thing is the story keeps morphing. What they discover at the end of the 100th episode opens up a lot of new doors and introduces more questions and possibilities so it actually allows us to explore a whole other universe of ideas. There is lots of chaos coming. Nobody is safe.”

Ultimately, the biggest thing that we have to hope for over the course of this episode is that some of these new questions are as interesting as what the show has done with all of the key drama over time. Long-standing mythology can be great, but at the same exact time you have to pay it off properly. This is why episode #100 will prove to be so important, given that if you anger some fans with some of your big “answers,” it may make them a little less likely to watch in the future. Time is going to tell on this front.
