‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder directs ‘Days of Future Past’

Salvatore -

Over the course of the past few years, the two male leads for “The Vampire Diaries” in Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley have started to get into the directing game, with each one of them helming at least a couple of episodes for the show. The former recently directed one entitled “Days of Future Past,” and if you’ve been curious as to when that installment is going to air, we’ve now got an answer for you: Friday, April 1. This is actually the next new episode of the show, so there won’t really be any action between now and then.

Based on the synopsis below, it’s clear that there is quite a bit of craziness that is going to unfold now that we are heading into a different time period:

“In an attempt to make things right with his brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) offers to have Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) scar magically transferred to him, only to discover that doing so may come with some unexpected consequences. With time running out and Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) closing in on Stefan, Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) desperately attempts to reason with Damon before it’s too late. Elsewhere, after being framed for breaking Rayna out of The Armory, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) attempts to clear his name, but not before a violent run-in with Nora (guest star Scarlett Byrne) forces him to make an upsetting discovery.”

We imagine that we’re going to start to get some further answers here and there on a few characters, but it could take some time before all the cracks are filled in, including why Bonnie and Enzo are now together and also why Matt now has the disdain that he does.
