ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 14 preview: What’s next for Kerry Washington, Scott Foley?

Thursday night’s new episode of “Scandal” brought up a number of interesting storylines, and there’s one that will probably continue to drive Olivia Pope up the wall more so than any other: Jake Ballard changing his relationship status. What does it mean to her? That is something that we’re going to have to get some sort of answer to over time, but we are very much intrigued by the direction we’re going now with the Presidential race heating up and more and more characters getting involved / causing chaos. Aren’t things always a little bit better when there’s chaos? We at least like to think so.

In case you’re wondering a little bit about the next installment of the show, here’s what we can tell you. The title here is “I See You,” and the synopsis below offers up some good insight into what is coming up:

“Olivia continues to spy on Jake while the gladiators have to fend for themselves. Meanwhile, Susan and Mellie are feeling the pressure as their campaigns heat up; Abby begins to question Cyrus’ motives; and a blast from the past surprises everyone.”

Obviously, we feel like the end of that is going to be what really raises some eyebrows out there, and we’re certainly interested in seeing how all of this unfolds. We are near the very end of the season, and with that being said, we definitely expect to see things become more and more intense, shocking, and definitely crazy. It wouldn’t be “Scandal” without that, after all.
