‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Supernatural’ season 11, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ finale dates announced
For those of you who were wondering as to when certain shows would be ending on The CW this year, we come bearing some big news! Today, the network confirmed their full list of finale dates, and some of them are rather surprising. All of these shows below are airing on their standard nights at their standard times.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” – Monday, April 18. Given that the network is going to be replacing it with “Reign” in the lineup, it makes sense for it to end early.
“Jane the Virgin” – Monday, May 16. There’s nothing surprising about this date. This is when most of their shows tend to end.
“The Flash” – Tuesday, May 24. This one’s a little shocking, since usually CW shows don’t last this long into May. We’re not sure if this is a production issue to give the people in post more time, or if the network wants to take advantage of less competition elsewhere.
“iZombie” – Tuesday, April 12. Like “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” this is a move to open up the timeslot to somebody else. In this case, we’re speaking specifically about “Containment.”
“Arrow” – Wednesday, May 25. We’ve already talked a little bit in-depth about this one.
“Supernatural” – Wednesday, May 25. It’s the same logic that we already discussed with “The Flash.”
“Legends of Tomorrow” – Thursday, May 19. The 25th may be the final day of sweeps this year, and The CW didn’t want to push this show beyond that.
“The 100” – Thursday, May 19. Nothing too unusual to see here.
“The Vampire Diaries” – Friday, May 13. It’s a little surprising to see the vampire drama ending a little earlier than most of the other long-running shows.
“The Originals” – Friday, May 20. Meanwhile, it’s even more surprising to see this show finish a week later.
