‘Shameless’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Can Fiona get Gus’ engagement ring back?

In the world of “Shameless,” very little is ever easy, and this is something that you can almost consistently expect to be a theme when it comes to the character of Fiona played by Emmy Rossum. Time and time again, her love life is a mystery trapped inside of an enigma, and she finds a way almost constantly to make things more difficult on herself.

Take, for example, the latest bit of evidence when it comes to the next all-new episode of the show. Based on the new TV Guide synopsis below, we’re going to have a good chance to see what happens when she tries to fix her relationship with Sean, while at the same time also trying to resolve a loose thread with Gus:

“Fiona tries to make amends with Sean, who isn’t giving her the time of day. Meanwhile, Debbie and Queenie travel to a rural commune, along with Frank who is trying to escape G-Doggg after stealing drugs from him.”

The sneak peek below from the March 13 episode shows Fiona going to a pawnbroker in order to get back the engagement ring that she previously sold for under $2,000. As she is seeing now, the problem she is facing is that since the time of her sale the market value (or at least the value in the pawnbroker’s head) of the ring has skyrocketed. Therefore, she needs to find a way to get a lot of money together in quickly, since otherwise she runs the risk of causing more problems in her divorce.
