‘Daredevil’ season 2 spoilers: Expect more tension between Matt, Foggy

While Matt Murdock may be doing his best trying to fight crime on Marvel’s “Daredevil,” the reality here is that this is not the only job that he has. He’s also got to do everything he can at the same time to keep his job going! While he and Foggy have done a great job with some things over the course of their career, there has been some tension.

With that said, it looks like this said tension is only going to escalate over the course of the coming episodes. Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Marco Ramirez made it clear that he is happy showing a more difficult and complex version of this friendship rather than just these two guys being goofy with one another. After all, there is something in Matt’s behavior patterns that a good friend would be concerned about in real life:

“Watching the buddy comedy version of the Matt and Foggy Show might feel lovely, but it’s not something in the writers’ room that we ever really wanted. What we love about those two characters is … how much they love each other, and constantly testing that friendship at every turn, and constantly getting them to a place where it almost feels like is this going to be it for these – for lack of a better term – brothers.”

Let’s just hope we see some of that bonding, and the friendship’s highs and lows, when the show premieres on March 18.
