‘Big Brother Canada 4’ review: Tim Dormer, Nikki Grahame make their presence felt

Tim -

If you were hoping to see some entertainment gold on “Big Brother Canada” Sunday night, we feel like some fell firmly into your lap courtesy of Tim Dormer and Nikki Grahame. These two came over from international seasons, and as a result gave the show a significant shot in the arm in terms of Diary Room fun.

Are they going to be good players? We do at least get the sense that Tim is savvy in that way, but Nikki may not be terrible, either. The one thing that they have done effectively for now is endeared themselves to some of the other players, though we do know from the live feeds that not everyone has loved Nikki’s attitude all of the time. The show glossed over some of that a little bit.

The result of Sunday’s episode is something that was easy to read, and it would’ve been even if we didn’t know the nominations in advance: Jared as Head of Household put up Loveita and Sharry, and it appears pretty certain that he doesn’t want the Veto used. Loveita went after Kelsey and really did a terrible job of orchestrating her move as Head of Household last week, while Sharry was her partner-in-crime. Neither one of them did a great job of endearing themselves to the other players, and that’s why they are now sitting firmly on the outside. Episode Grade: B.

In terms of notable moments tonight, here’s what we got:

1. Tim and Nikki having a mini-snowball fight outside.

2. The game of “never have I ever,” complete with Joel saying something about cuddling with a cat that nobody else seemed to even remotely understand.

3. Those terrible outfits during the Have / Have-Not Competition. By the way, why in the world do we really need to be doing this anymore?

4. The Head of Household competition may have been the easiest question-and-answer session of all time.
