‘The Fall’ season 3: Gillian Anderson wraps up filming

Has Gillian Anderson filmed her final scenes as Stella Gibson for “The Fall”? Based on what we’re seeing right now, it appears to be the case.

In the post on Twitter HERE, the actress (who has definitely been rather busy as of late) confirmed that she is done playing the show’s main character Stella Gibson. While it is not entirely clear what the story will be for the third season just yet, we imagine that it will be every bit as challenging and harrowing as all that has come before it. This is a show that has tested the character on extreme levels, and forced her to go to extremes in order to stop some horrific crimes.

For those who missed it, Anderson’s co-star Jamie Dornan wrapped up his work on the series weeks ago. He has been the show’s primary villain Paul Spector through the entirety of its run, and while there was some suspicion that he may not have made it through season 2 alive, the fact that he is still a part of the show for the third and final season gives us an indication that he must have a role to play.

Unfortunately, there’s still not a whole lot else to report on the series for the time being. There is no confirmed air date as of yet, and clearly we’re not getting much of a sense that the network is keen to rush into much of anything when it comes to teasers on what to expect. We just hope that this is something that they are happy to share a little bit more of in the near future.
