‘Wayward Pines’ season 2 premiere date revealed; Terence Howard to return

Pines

The second season of Fox’s “Wayward Pines” has certainly been shrouded in mystery, and there’s a good reason for that: We’re coming off a first season that was largely a self-contained arc, and for a long time there was not really any indication as to what the second season of the show was going to bring or if it was even going to happen.

Now, we do know that it will, and to go along with that, we’ve also got an official premiere date to go along with it in Wednesday, May 25. This is an interesting time for even a summer show to launch, mostly because the majority of them do wait until after we get through the month of May before kicking things off. Obviously, whatever worked for Fox last year turned out all right, so they don’t have any problem at all replicating that.

While the majority of the regulars from the first season don’t seem to be sticking around permanently, we do have confirmation that we will be seeing Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo and Charlie Tahan again. Not only that, but “Empire” star Terence Howard will also be stopping by for another appearance. He had originally filmed the first season before becoming one of the breakout stars of the season last year, and it’s nice to see that he found the time in his schedule to come back and do something more with the show.

We imagine that we’ll have some other updates on “Wayward Pines” in due time, so be on the lookout!
