‘The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story’ episode 6 preview: Marcia Clark under the microscope

People -

The OJ Simpson trial completely took the world by storm when it was first generating headlines two decades ago, and you do have to wonder just what sort of impact social media would have had in the event places like Twitter were around when this was taking place. Would the reaction have been more extreme? We do certainly think that it would have been perhaps even nastier to see what people had to say about some of the attorneys who were simply trying to do their job on the case. Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden were two of these said people.

Next week’s new episode of “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” is entitled “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia,” and despite the “Brady Bunch” reference in the name, we imagine that things are going to take a serious turn when Clark has to feel the weight of some of the things that are being said about her. The synopsis below gives you some further intel into what you can expect:

“As Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) juggles her home and work obligations, she starts to feel the public scrutiny of her appearance. Written by D.V. DeVincentis; Directed by Ryan Murphy.”

If you ever wanted a true sign of what sort of faith Murphy has in the series, this is it: He’s directing an episode that is not the premiere. Typically the prolific producer only helms a tiny handful of episodes for his shows, and chooses some of the strongest ones to get behind. This bodes well for this story.
