‘Elementary’ season 4, episode 15 preview: Why is a dog at the center of this case?

ElementaryWe’re getting close to “Elementary” moving over to Sunday nights, but before we get around to that, we have a few more cases that will play out … including one that could have a very specific Leona Helmsley vibe to it at the moment.

The title for the upcoming March 3 installment is none other than “Up to Heaven and Down to Hell,” which is going to tell a wide array of different stories, but of course the most interesting part of it is that a murder victim apparently left her entire will to a dog. Take a look at the attached synopsis below:

“When Watson runs into Captain Gregson and his secret girlfriend (Virginia Madsen), a former NYPD officer, she inadvertently sets the couple’s breakup in motion. Also, Holmes and Watson investigate the murder of a wealthy woman who left her considerable estate solely to a beloved dog, on ELEMENTARY, Thursday, March 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Academy Award nominee Virginia Madsen guest stars as Paige, Captain Gregson’s secret girlfriend.”

Will this story bring a lot of entertainment to the table? We certainly hope so, given that we do think that the guest cast here (cue Madsen) is strong, and we always love a case that has something silly / ridiculous at the center of it. Now, let’s just hope that this lives up to all of the hype that we have for it and then some. Do we of course want something soon that carves out deeper mythology? Sure, but we’ll take what we can get for now.
