‘Suits’ season 5 finale: Gabriel Macht on one interesting twist

For those of you out there who love “Suits,” you better be prepared for what could be in many ways the finale of the ages coming up on Wednesday night. Just think for a minute of everything that needs to be resolved here. We’ve got the case of Mike Ross, and if he ends up taking someone else down with him, it could mean that we see another character in crisis. The writers have done an exemplary job of really making this seem like an impossible situation, and one way or another we don’t see this ending without some sort of consequence.

One thing that you definitely should know is that there were parts of the story that were in flux up until the moment the cast was reading the script. For more on that, just take a look at what Gabriel Macht (Harvey) had to say to Yahoo! TV:

“There was one scene where it was an outcome of a huge event, and after speaking with Meghan Markle, we agreed that it should go a different way. We all convinced [creator Aaron Korsh] that the way to go was different from what he wrote [although it was an idea he’d originally had in mind]. We were all really excited to see that happen because we think it’s better for the show, better for some of the characters, more dramatic. So we’ll see what happens there.”

One of the things that we think actually makes “Suits” a better show is the collaboration. We know that not every other program out there functions in such a way, but it works for the most part with how it sometimes goes on-the-fly, and what is working right in the moment. (Sure, this probably adds to the stress.)
