‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Emily Bett Rickards on William revelation potentially coming out

Arrow -

While Oliver Queen may have worked for some time on “Arrow” to ensure that the news regarding his son William was kept under wraps, the reality was that there was only so long that this could remain that way. He’s a man who is consistently targeted regardless of whether or not he is the Green Arrow these days, and Damien Darhk was the sort of guy with the resources necessary to find out about such things as a secret child.

So how do you think Felicity is going to react to this coming out publicly? The revelation could happen as early as during Wednesday night’s new episode, and as Emily Bett Rickards tells TVLine, her response to Oliver hiding a secret in one crossover timeline may be a good indicator as to what is to come:

“I feel like we saw her in the crossover episode react in a certain way, and we’ll see seams of that play into this reality, this timeline that we watch — which is interesting to think about, that we’re not watching all of the timelines all the time and yet they’re happeninnnng! [Laughs] I think we all know Felicity’s heart pretty well, and we know that she tries to be as honest as possible all of the time. I feel like that’s something she respect in her friends and in the people she surrounds herself with, and with that said, when she finds out this information that she would hope to have known, we can probably predict how she is going to react!”

We will continue to contend that Oliver lying about this child to Felicity this season remains one of the few things that doesn’t quite make a whole lot of sense, largely given the fact that he has already made his feelings known about her and he has to know that if he were to tell her about William and explained the situation, she wouldn’t tell anyone about it. We genuinely think it wouldn’t have been a problem, since she realizes that he is a very different person now than he was before the island.
