‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 16 preview: The future for Tea Leoni, cast in ‘Hijriyyah’

Secretary -To say that Sunday night’s new episode of “Madam Secretary” was anticipated would be making a gross understatement. Given that the fate of one Henry McCord was floating around in the air, there was almost a frenzy trying to figure out what in the world was happening to the character.

So how do you follow up an episode as intense as “Right of the Boom” was? Well, it seems as though one of the strategies is going to be going in a very different direction with “Hijriyyah,” the next installment airing on March 6. CBS has unveiled the full synopsis, and it looks like we’re going in a very different direction than anything that we saw tonight:

“After an Italian warship answers a distress call from a ship carrying Libyan refugees, Elizabeth is given 20 minutes to decide whether to question a passenger who claims to know the whereabouts of Jibral Disah, the most-wanted terrorist in the world. Also, Stevie brings her boyfriend, Jareth (Chris O’Shea), home to meet her parents.”

Ultimately, we’re glad to see that Henry is going to be making it through in some capacity, and we imagine that the only reason that he’s not mentioned here is because the network did not want to tip their cap in one way or another as to what was going to be happening. If they’d mentioned him, then they would also have to realize that the entirety of tonight’s episode would have been spoiled to a certain degree.
