‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Lauren Bushnell chats about Ben Higgins to her father (video)

Hometown dates are going to be coming up on “The Bachelor” in just one week’s time, and as a result of that, we’re going to be seeing a little bit of drama … and also plenty of familiar scenes that you see almost any time that the ABC show gets to this point in the competition.

Want one example? Then just take a look at the video below, which is all about the hometown date with Lauren Bushnell. She has a conversation with her father about her feelings for Ben Higgins, and it’s ultimately rather easy to project almost everything that she’s saying here. She has a ton of serious feelings for the guy, and feels like he could be the person who she spends the rest of her life with. Even though they’ve only known each other a short period of time, she’s rather confident in many of these said feelings.

As for how her father responds to some of this, he’s about as understanding as someone can be, given that he has other priorities. He warns her that there are still three other women out there, and they don’t know what Ben is saying or doing on any of these dates. Basically, he’s being a father here. He wants to see his daughter happy, and while he’s not being mean towards Ben or aggressive, he has a right to be concerned about the situation.

The only bit of good news we can give him is that the odds are strongly in his favor that Lauren goes far and even ends up with Ben; right now, she and JoJo Fletcher are the big favorites.
