‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 15 video: Is Tim Daly’s Henry about to die?

For the average fan of CBS’ “Madam Secretary,” we have to imagine that the past week or so has been something akin to torture having to sit around and wonder what is going to happen to the Henry McCord character. Luckily, we’re only one day from figuring out the truth.

Let’s start here by laying out some of the facts as seen in the promo below. He is seemingly suffering from radiation poisoning, and as a result of that, there may only be so much that the doctors can do for him. Given that there was already a very recent death in the McCord family on Henry’s side, we can only imagine the sort of shockwaves that this is sending across the entire group.

As for whether or not this could really be the end of Tim Daly on the show, we’ve already said that we doubt it. Daly had a little bit of fun recently on Twitter, but we’re in an era of shows repeatedly faking you out when it comes to the fate of some of their characters. This is just another way to ensure that you watch the show and choose to do so live … which “Madam Secretary” does still need, especially in the adults 18-49 demographic. It hasn’t been renewed for a third season yet, and while we think it most-likely will, there are times still when it needs every little bump that it can.
