‘Teen Wolf’ season 5, episode 18 preview: Crystal Reed returns for ‘The Maid of Gévaudan’

Throughout most of the fifth season of “Teen Wolf,” there has been one question at the forefront of the season: Who is the Beast? What do they want? This has been one of the most-feared opponents in Beacon Hills, but at the same time one of the most mysterious.

It’s for this reason that we are lucky that next week’s new installment is promising something resembling answers. The title here is “The Maid of Gévaudan,” and based on some of the information that is out there, this will be the episode that transports us back several centuries and to France, where we will see more of the origins of this particular foe. Not only that, but this will be a great episode for guest stars! Crystal Reed will be returning to the show for the first time since Allison’s death (note: Technically you did see her tonight), but here will be playing a different part as she helps to establish the origin story further.

Meanwhile, you are also going to get a guest appearance from “Switched at Birth” alum Gilles Marini in this episode, which is fun because the French actor actually is familiar with the mythology of the Beast from his real life.

Given that there are just a few episodes to go before we reach the end of this season, there are still many reasons that you should be excited as a major fan of the show. There is a big reveal that still needs to be made, and there are probably some new threads that the show wants to explore before the end. Also, we gotta know if Liam is okay!
