‘Madam Secretary’ season 2: Is Tim Daly leaving show? Cryptic message, episode raise eyebrows

Is there a reason to be concerned over the future of Tim Daly on “Madam Secretary“? It seems based on his own Twitter account that this is something he wants you thinking about.

As you can below, Daly seems to at least want you to think that the end is near for his character of Henry McCord and he is leaving the show … but we’d say for now to take a deep breath before thinking that 100%. Given what he went throw with the explosion and the possibility of uranium poisoning, the show obviously wants you to think that Henry is in deep trouble and Tea Leoni’s Elizabeth is about to become a widow.

Is it really that cut-and-dry, though? We’d say that for the time being, the answer to that is rather complicated. This is an age of fake-outs that we’ve seen time and time again, whether it be Glenn on “The Walking Dead” this season, Oliver Queen (or Felicity Smoak) on “Arrow,” or even very recently Cami on “The Originals.” Leah Pipes posting something rather cryptic on social media after Cami seemingly died on the show, only for it to be revealed later that she was coming back as a vampire. Heck, we had a funeral for Juliette on “Grimm” and Bitsie Tulloch still found a way to come back.

For the time being, we wouldn’t read too much into Daly’s tweet as a sign that he’s done. Just watch the show on Sunday night, and (hopefully) be excited to see what happens from here.
