‘Gilmore Girls’ revival: Vanessa Marano of ‘Switched at Birth’ returning

One of the many amazing things to us about “Gilmore Girls” looking back is just how many of its cast members all went on to do other phenomenal things, and also just how many of these said people have been able to figure out a way to return. As of right now, Melissa McCarthy is the only person who was once a huge part of the show who still seems somewhat elusive.

Yesterday, we reported that even with his commitment to “Supernatural,” Jared Padalecki is still figuring out a way to stop play to play a part in the upcoming four-part Netflix revival. Today, we’re pleased to officially add Vanessa Marano to the list as well. Even though she is at the moment extremely busy with the fifth season of “Switched at Birth,” you’re going to get a chance to see more of her (per Variety) as Luke’s daughter April. We wouldn’t say necessarily that this was a character everyone loved when she was first on the show, but she was a very integral part of the story on some of the later years of the series.

This series is currently filming in the Los Angeles area, and we have to imagine that this is going to be a scheduling nightmare finding a way to get dates for all of these different people to appear thanks to their other shows. The revival will premiere at some point most likely in 2017, but we’re still so early along that there’s no real way to know for certain.
