‘American Idol 15’ spoilers: Schedule of top 24 performances and much more

American Idol -Just in case you are curious regarding what is coming up for the top 24 on “American Idol” this week, and what the schedule is moving forward, we like to think that we’ve got you covered.

For the sake of figuring out just how everything is going to go for what is currently set to be a shortened season (it appears that the finale is going to air in early April), here’s a little bit of a condensed schedule.

Feb. 10 – Twelve of the top 24 contestants are going to perform. That’s a lot given that this is a fairly short show we’re talking about here.

Feb. 11 – More performances, including some duets with “Idol” legends. The judges will eliminate five singers, which will bring the field down to seven.

Feb. 17 – The remaining twelve contestants will perform in the hour.

Feb. 18 – The field will ultimately be narrowed down once more, and we will be left with our top 14.

Feb. 24 – In this show, we’ll learn who the top 8 are as selected by the judges. Then, the remaining six will have a chance to compete for America’s vote.

Feb. 25 – The top ten will be revealed, and then we’ll get a true beginning to the voting rounds.

Remember that this season will only have a handful of live performance shows in March, so you’re not going to have a lot of time to pick a winner. Does this favor anyone? We’d say that it is certainly an advantage to some of the singers like a Trent or a La’Porsha (if they make it to the top 14), who have received a ton of air time so far. The limited performance time is a detriment to someone who may not be that memorable to America just yet.
