‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 12 preview: Stefan’s quest to save Damon

Salvatore -

Is brotherly love going to be a theme on “The Vampire Diaries” next week? In the show’s weird way, we suppose that the answer to that could be yes. Stefan, despite his many quibbles with Damon, has shown that he loves the guy, and he will do what he can in order to protect him.

Ultimately, we can tell you that Stefan’s quest to save his brother will be the primary component of next week’s “Postcards from the Edge,” which revolves around Damon’s downward spiral and Stefan figuring out if there is anything that he can do in order to save him. Check out the synopsis below in the event you want some further insight:

“When his experience in the Phoenix stone leads him to do the unthinkable, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds himself without a care in the world, spiraling out of control and under the influence of a dangerous and reckless Julian (guest star Todd Lasance). Refusing to give up on his brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley) attempts to reason with Damon only to uncover the devastating reason for his descent.  Elsewhere, Caroline (Candice King) begins having some dangerous side effects as a result of her supernatural pregnancy and is forced to turn to Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) for help.  Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham), Nora (guest star Scarlett Byrne) and Mary Louise (guest star Teressa Liane) attempt to track down a ruthless vampire hunter named Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) after they suspect that she has reemerged.”

So far, this show has already started to prove itself as a realm of pain, sorrow, and heartbreak. Damon feels like he’s incapable of anything, and if there is ever a time that he needed Elena, now would be it. Unfortunately, with her not here (also, with her on fire) he is going to have to do everything in his power to find a path of his own … and with some help from his brother.
