‘Bachelor Live’ finale: Michelle Collins, Garman take it off the rails

Ben -Tonight, we closed out the season of “Bachelor Live,” and for the most part we have to say that for the final two episodes, they were probably better than “The Bachelor” themselves. Why? Michelle Collins. The co-host from “The View” was absolutely hysterical from start to finish, and she also was extremely quick on her feet.

Will everyone out there like her? Probably not, since her joke about Olivia’s giant mouth was certainly not well-suited for family viewers and she doesn’t really take anything seriously. But she at least knows what her role is, and that is to be funny but not in a way that is altogether mean-spirited towards many of the contestants. We think that the majority of her jokes are so out there that it is hard for anyone other than parents to get that mad at them.

Now that we’ve said this, we come to the biggest problem with the live finale: Too many panelists! Why did we need all of these people there? We’d prefer it be just Chris Harrison, Collins, and Ralph Garman, who also made a very racy joke about JoJo Fletcher that we will not repeat here.

That’s right: We don’t even think Ben should be there. He’s still a part of the process and cannot give anything away, and with that we’d rather see him off somewhere else since he cannot legally really add much to the show at the moment other than having Chris Harrison embarrass him. Maybe if the show is renewed, you can bring him back; Chris Soules is certainly a whole lot better in this capacity.
