‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 10 video: Klaus rants to Elijah

If there is one thing that everyone on “The Originals” should know by now, it is this: Klaus is on a warpath. He’s been on one before, but he has a special bit of motivation now in the wake of what happened to Cami. The last we saw her on the show, she was dead. That doesn’t mean that she still is, but we have to assume at least for now that even if she returns, she’s not going to be the same character she once was.

Based on the way that Joseph Morgan’s character is acting here, he certainly seems to think she’s gone, as Elijah does everything that he can to advise him to just stay calm and give out some deep breaths. (Okay, he doesn’t technically say the latter part of this, but we can imagine.)

Ultimately, there are different ways to handle a crisis, whether it is dealing with someone like Tristan, Dahlia, Mikael, or anyone else these characters have encountered over time. Sometimes, it is better go in with your fangs ready; other times, you want to play things a little more politically, staying patient and waiting for that perfect opportunity to strike. Elijah is excellent at the latter, so every now and then it does benefit him to coach his brother a little bit on that technique.
