‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 14 preview: Where do we go in ‘Hostage’?

Criminal Minds -Tonight’s new episode of “Criminal Minds” was certainly creepy, and it also did its best to ensure that it upped the ante when it comes to the originality from a somewhat-dull installment in “Drive.”

Granted, the show is still in a little bit of a conundrum: How do you top “Entropy”? This was in our mind the best episode of the season so far, an installment that had a great guest star in Aubrey Plaza, fantastic writing, and a story arc that carried over to the first part of the premiere. It seems like next week’s “Hostage” is going to be of the story-of-the-week variety, so the writers are going to have their work cut out for them.

For now, all that we can give you in terms of scoop is the synopsis below:

“When an 18-year-old girl escapes from a suburban home where she was held captive for years with two other women, the BAU searches for the Unsub who kidnapped them.”

There’s not a lot of news in here when it comes to our established team members, so let’s hope that there are some individual moments in here for them, as well. The next time we actually know that some of them are going to have some time to shine is later this season starting in “Derek,” which could begin a very important arc for Shemar Moore and a chance to shine that could be right up there with “Entropy.”
