‘The X-Files’ season 10, episode 2 video: Mulder and Scully get stonewalled

X Files -Isn’t it nice that “The X-Files” are now firmly back in action once more? We’d say so, and come Monday night you’re going to have your second episode in less than 24 hours! As if the premiere wasn’t enough, this is something to really be excited about.

This is one of the rare shows in which the standalone mysteries are in many ways stronger than the larger arcs, while we cannot say that Monday night’s new episode will be disconnected from all of the others, it actually was filmed as the fifth episode of the season. With that in mind, we imagine that there is nothing too pertinent that occurs in it that will carry over to some of the other installments coming up.

As for the sneak peek below, it’s mostly standard-issue as you see Mulder and Scully right in the middle of an investigating a crime scene, one that they are quickly blocked off from doing any further despite their protests. This is just another sign of the lack of support that they are ultimately being given by the government, which in turn just pushes the whole conspiracy angle even further. Despite their attempts to figure out the reason for a person’s untimely death, they are stonewalled and even pushed away in the end.

Come back later tonight, since we’re about to have some other news on this episode including not just a review, but also a look ahead at the next new episode! We’re going to be taking a close watch on the ratings come Tuesday.
