‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Emily and Haley Ferguson’s ‘date’ with Ben Higgins (video)

On Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor,” the producers are going to get pretty much exactly what they want: An opportunity to throw a wrench into the season, and force the twins to go directly against one another in a battle to see who will stay in the running for Ben Higgins’ heart: It’s the dreaded two-on-one date!

What’s a little weird about this is the way in which Chris Harrison explains it to the two of them in the sneak peek below, making it sound almost like they have some sort of “special” date with Ben Higgins because this is their hometown and he wants to do something special for them. In reality, what this really happens to be is a case where one of them is probably getting sent home in favor of the other. The only consolation that they have is that they at least don’t have to worry about getting on a flight; they can just stay put in their hometown.

The question that we understand many having right now is whether or not either one of them really has much of a connection to Ben … mostly because if they do, we certainly have not had a chance to see it so far. Instead, we’ve mostly just seen them in confessionals together.

As we’ve said in some other recent articles, it probably is time to split the twins up. Both Emily and Haley seem to be really nice, but they haven’t really brought that much entertainment to the proceedings. We’re fine with one of them going, and then this just being a regular competition again.
