‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 11 spoilers: David Lambert on future of Brandon, Callie

FostersThe Fosters” season 3 will return with new episodes on Monday night, and with that comes new hope for many characters … and also romances. The problem is that they may not always be the romances that you want.

We know that Callie / Brandon are one of the more popular ‘ships on the show, but following Callie being officially adopted, the two try to take their relationship in a different direction instead of continuing to push towards something. As David Lambert tells TVLine, specifically we could see him moving on to do some other things and spend time with some other people:

“Between the two of them, it’s this idea of burying the hatchet. We’re in agreement to leave it alone, and he definitely does a good job, at least for now, of distracting himself with other things. He’s got a senior project coming up, [for] which he decides to do a musical adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. There’s a possible new love interest, actually, a character named Courtney that comes in to his life. He starts investing into her.”

As for Callie, you also have to remember that AJ is also still out there, and we’re sure that some of the feelings that he has for her have not gone away. There is a lot to sort through, and the biggest thing to remember here is just how young these characters still are. It is unrealistic to think that they are going to have everything figured out right now. There are some some things that are simply going to take some time, and finding the right way to move forward romantically may be among them.
